Current research suggests that ACAI has higher Omega-3 while MAQUI Berry has greater Omega-9 characteristics. Why miss out on either? I just add a teaspoon of each powder into my fruit smoothie for an Extra Tasty and Good 4U healthy drink!

The ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) unit, ORAC value, or "ORAC score" is a method of measuring the antioxidant capacity of different foods and supplements. It was developed by scientists at the National Institutes of Health. While the exact relationship between the ORAC value of a food and its health benefit has not been established, it is believed that foods higher on the ORAC scale will more effectively neutralize free radicals. According to the free-radical theory of aging, this will slow the oxidative processes and free radical damage that can contribute to age-related degeneration and disease. ACAI advocates point out that certain preparations of the fruit (freezed-dried) can actually exceed the Maqui Berry score. MAQUI advocates point out the same. However, it can be said with certainty that these Super-Fruits are both Excellent sources of Anti-Oxidants.

ACAI Berries too have similar benefits. However, Acai berries grow along the Amazon River, has longer growing season (thus much more readily available) but is somewhat lower on the ORAC rating chart than Maqui berries.
